A kaleidoscopic coming-of-rage Two young Georgian women collide in a psychiatric clinic in Tbilisi. Raised in entirely different contexts, they discover and expose each other’s inner worlds. Nina is an artist, despondent and continually searching for a new project. When she meets Magda, she discovers a story that captures the depth and complexity she has been striving for in her art. Magda’s story turns out to be more convoluted than she initially thought.
Natural dialogue is interwoven with experimental movement and projection design. Electronic musicians accompany live on stage, providing a blend of Georgian spoken word and soundscapes.
Magda holds the mirror to the reality of many young Georgian women, whose sanity is tortured by their parents’ and society’s unachievable values and historical icons. Religion, sexuality and the inevitable conflict between the two are explored through the entwined lives of these characters.
